In an effort to afford the twenty new cribs we are required to purchase before December 31, 2012, we recently held two fundraisers which made a good dent in that bottom line. We are so grateful to all our families for their efforts in these fundraisers. The “Enjoy the City” coupon book sales was $1,300.
First Place Sales Supporters are the Catalano Family who were awarded on week’s tuition
for their efforts. Thank you Joe, JaCinta, Joseph and Easton. Second Place Sales Supporters are the Bowen Family who received one week at halftuition.
Thank you Daniel, Lara, Norah and Vivian.
The Scrip Gift Card promotion did not fair as well due to the low percentage rate returned oneach sale. It was a good effort and we sincerely appreciate your participation. We hope you enjoy the gift cards but we will have to consider whether we will offer this promotion again. The Center was blessed by several donations during those fundraisers; we sincerely thank you for your generosity.
We plan to step back from the fundraising efforts for a while to consider how we will complete this Federal requirement directed through DCFS and how we will recycle salvageable sections for our current cribs. We cannot bear the thought of these cribs going to the local landfill. We have found some great ideas through Pinterest that with the help of families and staff we should be able to create some new interest areas for the classrooms while saving our environment.
